For the month of February many of us in SL have been displaying the Speak No Evil  anti-bullying graphic in our profiles to raise the issue of cyberbullying -which happens in SL as much as anywhere.

I found this perfect pose set by Kay Weston at Image Essentials and even though I had planned to just use the “Speak No Evil” pose I really like the look of the 3 together.

#88 Mem’s Gallery

Every so often I look around my small gallery and wonder – why?

Why do I have a gallery? Why do my friends like me to have a gallery? Why have I chosen these, of all my photographs, to display? Are these still part of my 10,000? Why have I displayed them like this?

I wonder – what do visitors see? What thoughts or feelings are raised?

Currently Mem’s Gallery is housed in a cute little cottage at the top of a hill, surrounded by flowers and trees; part of our New Zealand themed sim.

If you have a chance to pop in and look around please send me your feedback – thoughts, feelings, ideas. Constructive feedback can provide inspiration (or desperation?) to push through  to keep on changing and growing.

#87 I need to go shopping

It was like a purge – back in July some stroke of LL doom swallowed one of my folders – never to be found again. Not just any folder – it was my CLOTHING folder – 50k of trash and treasure from 9 years in SL: clothes, shoes, jewelry, lingerie, hats, bags, umbrellas and watches …. the lot.

Now when I make up an outfit I need to go shopping.

My shopping trip took me to old haunts (Zaara) and to new ones [VERSOV] – to collect DEMOS!

I love this outfit – it reminds me of some looks from the recent Spring 2017 Ready to Wear Fashion shows. I love the contrasting colors, textures, styles, the meticulous design details, the glam hairdos and sheer craziness of it all.

I slip into my favorite [ZE} LBD, zip up my Essenz heels, fluff up my D!va hair and lean in close to the mirror to check my Veechi lipstick and eyeshadow. Oops – I nearly forgot to check my nails. A quick coat of {ZOZ] in a  gold shade – superfast drying.

Hmm now  for jewelry – I’ll choose a couple of  LUXE. gold accessories – then add some from LaGyo. Done!

Zoom over to the IE photo studio to snap some selfies – then off to the casting. Wish me luck.

#83 New look Memory – raw

You don’t know this new me;

I put back my pieces,

We can do this every day in Second Life – BUT I don’t.

I change my avie a little, to fit outfits or to achieve a certain ‘costume’, but big changes I only make maybe once a year, or less. I need to feel like me in my avie.

This time the change is into a mesh head, which you would think is no big deal – they have been around so long now that the next step – Bento- is already here. I have joined the ranks of folk who appear as detached floating parts before assembling into something resembling human form.  It has felt like a big step for me – but strangely many of my friends didn’t even notice!

These photos were quickly shot in Coastal Afternoon WL setting and cropped – to send in for a casting that I’d left till the last minute.

#81 The last of the evening sun

I’m not one of those people who wakes up and thinks, ‘Bring on the day!’ I have to have about 7 pints of coffee before I’m even remotely awake.
